"Look Unto Me"

Journal Entry-January 22, 2009
I read this in my devotions this morning from My Utmost For His Highest by Oswald Chambers. Isaiah 45:22 "Look unto Me, and be ye saved." "Do we expect God to come to us with His blessings and save us? He says-Look unto Me and be ye saved! Troubles nearly always make us look to God. His blessings are apt to make us look elsewhere. Narrow all your interests until the attitude of mind and heart and body is concentration on Jesus Christ. "Look unto Me". Rouse yourself up and look to God! Build your hope on Him. No matter if there are a hundred and one things that press, resolutely exclude them all and look to Him; and salvation IS-the moment you look."

My Journal of Remembrance of God's Blessings

"Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body." Philippians 1:19-20

I am continuing this journal to help me remember all of God's blessings to me through this journey. It has been and will be a source of encouragement to me that I can return to again and again. I will post my progress as I continue treatment for my cancer, but more than that, I will record encouraging thoughts and verses that others have sent to me along the way. I hope they will be an encouragement to you, as well. The Lord is the same in any trial or struggle that we go through-the same yesterday, today, and forever!
